Lead Scheduling Major Turnarounds Shell Moerdijk
At Shell's Moerdijk site are chemical products manufactured from crude oil and petroleum. A pipeline transports feedstock from the Pernis refinery to Moerdijk to manufacture everyday products. The end uses are quite diverse and include products from everyday life, like lightweight materials and car tires, cell phone covers, detergents, thermal insulation materials, gasket materials, but also products for personal and medical care. The total production capacity amounts to more than four million tons annually.
In order to prepare and execute the Major Turnaround of the MLO-plant (Moerdijk Lower Olefins, including an ethylene plant and a steam cracker) in 2013, Advando Project Control fulfilled a lead scheduler role in 2012 and 2013.
Subsequently, Advando Project Control continued for 1,5 years in the same position for the Major Turnaround 2016 of the MSPO1-plant (Styrene Monomer and Propylene Oxide plants).
An integral Spec-Spec schedule (P20, P50 and P80) is created for both Turnarounds in Primavera P6.
